It was a great pleasure to work with so many talented photographers and my huble thanks go to them for putting up with me. A very special thanks goes to my beloved wife Sheri, who not only surrounds me with her enlightened aura and supports me in all my efforts, but has worked really hard to make this program a reality.

I was surprised to see only seven participants as I thought this program would go through the roof. I guess the bad economy is impacting our industry heavily. Well, like they say in Italian “Meglio pochi ma buoni” it means Better Few but Good. Shooting editorial is a great challenge. Not only you have to deal with light, posing etcetera, but you also have to keep constantly in the foreground the story you are telling. My proprietary method of the Circle of Creation is an excellent tool to help achieving this objective.

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the quality of the photographs submitted by the participants. Please understand I say surprised because it was the first time I met most of them. Judging is a stinky job, as much for those who don’t win as it is for the judges. We approached the process with one thing in mind “At Renovance there are no losers. We have those who win and those who don’t, period. It was not an easy job but it had to be done.

Some of you have terrific talent. It could truly lead you to have a great career as professional photographers. However, and particularly in fashion, to shoot good picture is not enough to make it, competition is too tough. You need to develop a sixth sense, something special that makes you unique, your style, a style that becomes timeless and unforgettable. Our winner had the advantage of having participated in five of our courses and it shows. Nothing taken from his remarkable talent but he has made great treasure from the training he received from me. Let it be of inspiration to all of you. If you continue to train with us you will see the quality of your work improve beyond your expectations.
